Strategic Communicator. Broadcaster. Army Officer. Charities Advisor.
“I have had many roles during my professional career, but my aspiration has always been to serve others in need.
I was inspired by my father in this regards, a Birmingham city social worker of 32 years, who instilled in me strong family values and devotion to ones duty.
These values I have carried with me throughout life, and it has empowered me to achieve career goals and highlights.”
Activism
“Being involved in political discourse is important to me. Growing up in an inner-city area I know just how communities can feel disconnected from decisions made on their behalf when their views or concerns are not heard, so over the years I have engaged in public life to campaign and address this.
In 2019-21 I fought to become the West Midlands PCC candidate, achieving 259,779 votes across the region in the election.”
Serve To Lead

“As a trained soldier and Commissioned Officer, the message “Serve to Lead” is one I hold very close to my heart. It means to show others the right path through ones own virtues, by being values-driven and maintaining high personal standards.
This belief spurs me in all I do, to be a strong team player and help others achieve their goals. The greatest joy I find is in developing and motivating winning teams, for which I bring my energy, positivity, and charm.
I have accomplished many firsts: from the first in my family to attend a Grammar school and then to go to University through to the first turban-wearing Sikh to break into regional news with ITV, and later the Intelligence Corps.
I’m thankful for such opportunities and “give back” by motivating and guiding others from less-privileged backgrounds to develop and achieve.”
